Emanouil Brothers Featured On Nationally Syndicated Home Improvement Show

In February 2011, Emanouil Brothers, Inc. was asked to be part of a popular television show's team constructing the "home of her dreams" for Monica, a disabled mother whom a famous TV personality nicknamed, "Warrior Mom."

After discussions within the company and conversations with the show’s producers, Emanouil Brothers, Inc. agreed to participate with this heartwarming undertaking.  Emanouil  provided design services, equipment and labor for the hardscape and landscaping for Monica’s new home. 

Working for over three months in collaboration with the shows design team, celebrity landscape host  and the housing contractor, Emanouil Brothers designed a unique layout that maintained a high standard of aesthetic quality while catering directly toward Monica’s needs. The challenge was to provide the desired features for the family on a small multi-level site without compromising accessibility.

Design features include:

Accessibility: Stone dust pathways with gradual slopes to facilitate Monica’s movement around the multi-level rear yard.
Walkways/Patios: Low maintenance Precast Concrete Pavers provide access to the entries and primary walkway in the rear yard. Patios including a private dining patio and recreational patio adjacent to the play area. Walkway/Patio color chosen to complement the residence.
Edible gardens: Raised vegetable and herb gardens with sitting wall allowing
access from all sides, edible fruit plantings in the garden area including
blueberries and strawberries and dwarf fruit trees. The garden area includes a
greenhouse which is easily removable converting the areas to an expanded entertainment area.
